The gDAS24 system offers improved data quality and extremely efficient coverage with, for example, Offset Pole-Dipole IP / Resitivity (3DIP) arrays and quasi-simultaneous Magneto-Telluric (MT) data acquisition, or extended coverage in Vector or Reconnaissance style IP / Resistivity surveys, incorporating telluric cancelation and improved sensitivity over more conventional equipment. Each unit comprises four 24-bit A/D converters for inputs from electric-field dipoles, magnetometers, seismometers, etc. with internal filtering, data storage and programmable acquisition parameter schedules.
All data processing is instrument- independent, with post-processing of full time series permitting, for example, advanced filtering and stacking techniques for cultural noise reduction and telluric cancelation and modeled parameter fitting.
